Hello all. I have a Corolla SR (2005) and the Horn has stopped working. Has anyone heard of this problem before? Could it be the fuse thats causing the problem? Last resort is to book it in. If anyone could help that would be fantastic. many thanks

The fusebox would be my first port of call, just to check it.

Maybe even check it just to make sure it's not been damaged in anyway, otherwise, have to say book it in

Just check the fuse and its not blown, also used the replacement and still not working. Booked it in now for next monday. Would this be under warrenty ?

I hope you have checked that there is no lose wire on your horn under the bonnet or under wheel arch maybe on yours, i'm not sure. As it will be an expensive visit to the shop if its just a loose wire. I guess there was no corrosion in the fuse box either? Even changing the fuse if this were the case then it would not work, but you can remove the errosion for free using some wire wool.

I have only had the car for 5 months or so and its still in its warrenty period. But if the horn isnt included in the warrenty then i will be very annoyed. I am not too sure exactly where the wires are but will have a check later. Could it be loose wire in the steering wheel itself ?

Horn will be included in your warranty, as it is not a wear and tear item.

They should fix it free of cost (assuming you bought it from a Toyota main agent with a 1 year warranty included)

You should be covered then

Take it to them and let them worry about it! Good luck in the repair
