Headlamp Beam Adjustors

Apologies if this has been asked before - but i did a search and didn't find a relevant link. Anyway...

We'll be taking our 57 Verso to France in a few weeks time, and so i've been trying to find what i'd need to convert the headlamp beams.

I called my dealer, and he told me that they didn't stock anything, but would probably recommend an off the shelf kit. One I found was Eurolites: according to the info on the web, these are supposed to be universal, although i haven't established how you fit them accurately to a clear lens, and more worryingly one site i read said they fell off in the rain. On the other hand they're only about £6 on eBay, so not a huge financial gamble... unless i get pulled over by a stroppy gendarme!

So my questions are these:

(i) does anyone have experience of using Eurolites - do they work ok?

(ii) can anyone recommend an alternative or something?

Please keep us posted on what you find, I have the opposite problem. I will need something for when I next come to the UK.

I looked breifly into this and Eurolites were really all I could find. But if you find an alternative please let me know.

In the absence of any other suggestions I've bought some Eurolites. although as i said - on the scale of things it's not really a hugely risky punt! according to the site i bought from, they also come in an alternative europe-Uk configuration. I can't believe im the only person to have thought about the the driving-on-the-continent problem, but maybe i'm just paranoid about gendarmes.

For my purposes the good news is that the pack does include a guide for fitting to a Verso's clear headlamps (along with most other cars) - which consists of a combination of brief description and an outline diagram. I haven't fitted them yet, and can't help feeling that correct fitting will be as much about luck as judgement... although when it comes to it i'm not expecting to do ots of night friving and i suppose any attempt to divert the beam would be less dazzling than nothing!

I have a couple of reviews elsewhere that Eurolites have come unstuck during motorway driving. The instructions are pretty comprehensive on how to make them stick properly, but when we're back in a few weeks time i'll let you know if we've had any probs with either adhesion or the boys en bleu.
