Hi

found the forum and really pleased to come across the TTS conversion. I wanted to PM Joe but it won't let me so I thought perhaps it could be public!

I missed the issue on the Aygo and wondered are there any back issues available? Could the article be scanned in and links pasted?

I'd really like to know a bit more about the conversion (TTS seem short of staff today)

- does it lower compression ratio?

- what's the boost level?

- if only a fuel computer and 4 injector are used isn't too much spark advance an issue under boost?

thanks!

You should be able to PM me -- plenty of other people have. Why not try again?

Anyway, the conversion was designed to work with the engine's standard internals. So the compression ratio is unchanged.

The boost level is set at approximately 0.7bar, which Rotrex calculated is within the working parameters of the engine's displacement and compression.

I have not experienced any problems with the engine under boost. I have used colder Denso Iridium plugs to ensure there are no problems with the sparks. In fact, the engine appears to relish being stretched right up to the rev limiter.

So far I have driven the supercharged engine for about 10k miles (including lots of motorway miles, track days and sprint events) without a single problem.

Hope this answers your questions.

TTS conversion kit is great, but too expensive for a cheap car as the Aygo! If there isn't a reduction in price for the kit, i think nobody will buy it.

Some will buy it, but I do think that it's expensive. Still, it's tuning, the price is the same as the price for a more expensive car...

I'm considering it tho. I'll wait a while tho, have to get the cash for it first. And that's going to take a while.

I think kit price + aygo price you could buy a more powerfull car and it's a better way to have more hp

To Banzaijoe.

Do you know how many HP you get when you drive with 0,7bar ? and have you only driv with 0,7bar ore did you starte with a lower pressure ?

And wich rotrex supercharger do you have on your car ?

Dan,

We used a Rotrex C15/16 supercharger and ran it at 0.7bar from the start as we'd already worked out the Aygo's optimal range by looking at the engine's displacement and compression ratio. With a fourth injector and a full straight-through exhaust system in place we figured the car with 138bhp at the flywheel.

Hope this helps!
