Corolla E10 Cheap Motoring?

Hi all

I've been looking around at a couple of 1.6 5 door corolla E10's. Are they a good buy for someone looking for cheap motoring and cheap servicing/repairs?

I know toyotas are mainly very reliable and trustworthy but am I likely to be buying a money pit if I buy a 15 year old corolla e10. The one i'm looking at has 115k, FSH, and 2 previous owners.

Its the 5 door liftback executive mondel i'm looking at.

Any opinions welcome.

Mark

Seems like a good buy to me, I have an E11 as my work car, (seen in avatar) its very easy to buy cheap parts and service myself so do it in about £40

The E10 will be in the same price range for parts so i'd say get it :) the 1.6's are roughly the same speed as a saxo VTR (lose 1 car length to 60) then by 80+ you've passed them and left them as their 8V engine has stopped putting out any power (know from track racing for reference not open roads)

Unless you want mine :P its has dents, n 2 small spots on the roof about to rust LOL!

it's not really for sale, as i said its a work car not my play toy :)

Hope this helps

Collin
