started very quietly when almost full lock, now its loud and occurs with slight turn to right.

ive looked at my disk and nothing is obvious, help ! lol

dont want to go to mrT and get charged hundreds for them just to find whats up, hopefully you great ppl can tell me whats up and then im half way there.

sounds like a wheel bearing to me?

jack the car up - spin the wheel, if the bearings gone it will be evident.........

Does the sound disappear when you reverse?

If so, then it may well be the brake pad guide (small silvery clip) within the caliper/pad assembly. All you'd need to do is replicate a brake pad change and if that is the problem it should be sorted.

You're right about not wanting to go with a dealer as it's around £75 nicker, and can be easily done yourself in a few minutes.

Had this on mine, and having other issues with the car at the time didn't want to risk voiding the warranty so had to bite the bullet. When I got round to fitting new pads was quite mad with myself at how I'd got ripped for an easy job.

Cheers.
