I am not sure that I understand the UK license plate, but I thought that a 56 plate means somewhere between September 2006 and March 2007.

If this is the case it surely means that the car is still well within the warranty and should be fixed free of charge. Or am I missing something here?

Its not really the dealer who decides whether to do the work under warranty though.

If the dealership carried out the work then submitted a claim to TOYOTA WARRANTY and it wasnt accepted then the dealership would be out of pocket for the work/parts THEY have paid for.

Im sure if you kicked up enough fuss with TOYOTA and the dealership about the car being only just over the 60k mark you may get a good will gesture money off the work (this also is dependent on whether you have FULL SERVICE HISTORY though)

Mart. :)

Just a thought, here and I think in all Europe the warranty is 3 years or 100K Kilometers, which ever comes first.

100K Kilometers is in fact 62,137 miles so everywhere else in Europe this would still be in Warranty. Might be worth reminding Toyota UK about this. You never know it might help.

Oh and how accurate are the oddometers anyway!

AND there is a 2.3% diference in the reading between the 215/50-17 and the 205/55-16 tyres and wheels fitted as standard.

If we are trying to be so accurate when has the car actually travelled 60k Miles?

Regards,

Andy
