Just Done The Airbox Mod

there's two aspects here, if the air intake is in the engine bay the air will be

a) lower pressure

B) hotter

c) less restriction

Leaving the airtake in has the following air will be

a) higher pressure

B) colder

c) more restriction.

Basically its whether the combination of A and B is more than C that determines it.

Anyhow I have now changed the air filter from the one that came with the car to one of those blitz LM things that i got from Envy. In my humble opinion for what its worth i don't think its made a blind bit of difference to getting the boggo air filter from Toyota. Throttle response was the same too.

next step is to try the mod which i'm going to do tomorrow.

there is a fair bit of improvement to be had with the stock box - having it drawing from the engine isnt one. i think you've sussed it tho..........

Do you take the pipe off from the air injection pump,which is the smale hole coming form the wheel arch area.or are you just talking the flexi pipe off.
