Looks good, is the mount fixed with an adhesive pad ?

Yes it its. Shiny black disk with adhesive pad sticks on dash and sucker goes on it.

The mount for the Tomtom 520 is as good as useless it will not give a firm fix to the windscreen and is always falling off !!

The best solution by far is the brodit mount system it is not cheap but is excellent ( you need to buy a proclip and a holder also if you use a mini move clip the sat nav just slides of the proclip)

Try this site http://www.dsldevelopments.com/

The other option is a bean bag mount from arkon

I'm with bjw on this one. I bought a Brodit Proclip for my Corolla from dsl developments. Good company to deal with in my experience. The real beauty of the proclip is that it is designed to clip into the joins in the dashboard etc and so requires no drilling so no permanent damage to the car. They are also model specific and often offer several different proclips for different positions around the dash area. Very clever!

Being careful with money  I just use the standard windscreen mount on my TomTom One on the small window in front of the drivers door. This is easily visible and, unlike mounting on the windscreen, I can actually reach the unit without stretching.
