Toyota were asking for i think more then 300 supplied and fitted, discs and pads i went elsewhere and had it done for 180 front discs and pads and rear pads only. I think with discs at the back was slightly more bout 240 but still cheaper then toyota. Not sure which may go on your t sport but ik now my dealer was a rip off!

The other halfs T sport is in for service and MOT, it's done 22,000 mls and is on an 02 plate, they have just rung me to say that the pads are all low and it needs new discs all round, the fronts are below min thickness and the rears are scored, so it will fail the MOT when they do that, they want £301.63 front and £274.34 rear inc fitting plus a 60k service at £372.16.

Have told them to finish the service and I will get the MOT done at my local garage, what a rip off ! .

I don't understand why people continue to use Toyota for their servicing, it really doesn't make any sense. The argument is that a FDSH is better than a FSH when it comes to selling just doesn't cut it. Because they overcharge by at least £100 per service and with the resale prices of T-Sports, those hundreds of pounds will massively outstip the extra money you would get when selling it with dealer service history.

And as you have just shown Andy, any additional work above and beyond the overpriced service is extortionately priced. It was a sensible decision going elsewhere as you should be able to get all 4 corners fitted with uprated discs and pads + an MOT for sub £400 (there is however a really good guide on this site for replacing discs and pads on a T-Sport which I used and saved myself the cost of a mechanics' labour).

Toyota really shock you if you leave your car with them. In general all dealers do that but toyota the last time i took my car in it was due for a service and its first MOT

toyota worried me with the small modifications i carried out by changing my wheels saying they had major buckles in them which were not road worthy, saying how my engine oilwas to much and how it had to be cleared out the engine a few other problems and this was the time when i needed my brakes changed.

They gave me a service report which stated i would fail my MOT for tyres having low tread when they had more then 1.6mm all around all 4 and also brake discs severly worn etc and also the buckles in the wheels.

Infact i said no thank you ill take it elsewhere i was suprised to inspect my aftermarket alloys and find no buckles, nothing at all.

My car passed a good few weeks later in the same condition from a MOT place who deal with porsche, shocking !

Got the MOT done at my local garage for £35 instead of the £576 that Toyota wanted, had an advisory to say that the rear disc's were a bit scored but would never have failed on that unless they were cracked or worn out, they also said that I should have got Toyota to do the test and then fail it, then I should have reported them to VOSA, can't be ars*d to do that but they will lose all of my business, as I buy most of my Hilux Surf parts from them.
