Anyone Having A Worse Month?

Well Ok, It wasn't all bad cos Silverstone 6th n 7th was good to visit, but it was all Renaults driving round so I got bored. Had to camp there too Fri night and Sat night.

Car insurance was Due 10th paid in full £635 fully comp just for the rolla 2 years no claims as didn't start on my own insurance.

Car Tax is due £185

mounted a kerb in a petty station cos it had the worst entrace ever, looked 2 cars wide, but you swing in and realise it was the worlds shortest filter lane. mounted 2 wheels up n over the kerb, seen lodza people do it, so this caused me to need 2 tyres but were low anyway so bought 4. I got Trade price thank god £138.18

Now, a wall jumped out infront of me so although my bro previously borrowed my car and put a couple of scratches in the front bumper and dinted my wing, i lived with it, BUT now I have messed the bumper up with a crack just along the top, the blue bumper now has a big WHITE patch and lumpy plastic no longer smooth, and i need a new indicator unit to as not just the lense was crushed. (nothing else was damaged as I was lucky I guess)

So, over £1000 I now need to buy the Wing when i can afford and then get it painted and fitted.

Oh, and I damaged my right foot at the GYM :( takes the *****

Now 1 question... The wing is bolted on from what i can see in the engine bay, but i'm assuming it will be welded down the door pilar? Yes or No? anyone know? tbh I didn't look, but there is no way its as easy as bolts in there too?

Cheers, Rant over, BRING ON JULY start a fresh month

Collin

I think my brother is having a worse month.

Brand new Golf 2 months ago

1) Hit a pole damaged every panel of the near side of the car

2) Reversed out the drive and hit our neighbour driving down the road in his merc.

3) On the A2 last night a Slovakian lorry hit him when trying to join the motorway and spun him off the motorway! (No injuries thank god)

Sorry to hear your having a bad month but I think my bros is worse

Mine is going in tomorrow to have the crushed wing replaced from the hit and run the other week, they tell me it's held on with only 6 bolts.

I lost my job earlier in the month and am now just bored of doing not much. I agree, bring on July.

Cheers.

Well, I am glad June is not just being a bad month for me, Having a service aint exactly a bad thing is it :P but costworth like all my jobs.

Sorry to hear you lost your job, thats the worst thing on here! means nothing can be done and boredom strikes, I had a year off 4 years ago looking for work but i had no skills so i became self employed and been fine ever since, then went to college and still there atm but doing my degree... maybe the way to turn if you have no look finding another?

hi

there will be one bolt on the a-post. you will see this when you open the door. there are plastic clips under the wing just above the tyre.

Cheers, I have seen the bolt, but assumed there must be something else hiding down there somewhere, I know about the plastic clips from removing my inner arch when doing my ICE install.

Thanks very much though :) much appreciated.

Always amazes me how some petrol stations are really difficult to get into - we have a Shell garage that I use regularly and it is very difficult to get two cars side by side at the pumps even though they are meant to fill up like that. I mean it's not as though cars don't use them a lot  I'm sure cars haven't got appreciably fatter in recent years ;)

Mine was actually from pulling off the main road just into the foreground though, not even at the pumps yet!

 why did you have to go behind the wheel arches to install the ICE??

The power cable from my Battery into the boot, the only avaliable gromit with enough space for the 30AMP cable went out into the wing above the innerarch, and then back into the Dashboard near the door.
