Hi all.

I'm selling my mr-s 2000 model, when i bought it i was told the pre cats had been removed.

Ive been asked by a prospective buyer if with the pre cats removed would the car fail the emissons test on the mot??

Obviously this is a concern, i would apreciate any comment on this thanks.

Regards Steve.

Precats were fitted to comply with more stringent emission tests in other countries and as long as there are no other modifications or faults with the car it is no problem

[Hi, In my experience most Jap cars not fitted with a cat from new will pass the emissions test without the catalytic convertor.

However the only way to see is the same as any car - test it.
