thats appalling, how can a dealer supply a vehicle its not capable of maintaining, the resale values of the T180 is going to be non existant at this rate

Miked here!

I have just been quoted £13,000 for my March 07 T 180 with 12,400 miles on the clock. It cost me £24,800 new on 01/03/07 (list Price £27000). I think that says it all about this model! Mine has been nothing but problems since I bought it, capped off the other day by a puncture and all the associated problems with that. I will never go near another Toyota unless Customer Services deal with my latest complaint to my satisfaction.

What you actually mean is that due to the rise in fuel costs, the hike in VED charges and the like, the price of many used cars including yours has taken a real hit, a veiled threat of "I will never go near another Toyota" unless I get my own way will quite frankly get you nowhere

Another recent thread on here highlighted the drop in the value of a 57 plate RAV, Anybody pricing just about any car less than a year after buying it, will be disappointed with it's value, on a 25K car 3.7K will be VAT, you will NEVER get that money back, plus the depreciation which is at its worst in the first year

Kingo

Hi Miked

Yeah, sorry to hear the news, I must admit that being a Toyota owner for the past 10 years, I have been very satisfied with the reliability of Toyotas and have sung their praises on many occasions but, as you are aware, this run flat scenario is just beyond belief.

To be honest, I think that all of us with larger cars are suffering massive depreciation due to the current economic climate, a friend's Mondao (or however you spell it lol) V6was bought 6 months ago for £12k, he's now been offered £4k in trade in! My fiances Freelander was bought 6 months ago at £7k, is now only trading at £3k.

So sorry you appear to have had nothing but trouble with your T180, love my one to pieces (apart from the bl***y run flats) will be posting another topic "T180 safety" suggest you refer to this certainly before your journey to Spain if it's applicable to you.

Best regards

John
