hi all,

new member here so sorry to sound so random!

my starlet gt turbo ep82 is having running problems, i think they are all linked.

when in slow moving traffic the idle speed is all over the place.

the car does not run smoothly, its not as bad when cold.

the engine warning light is on.

sometimes overheats.

i have spoken to someone and he thinks there is a sensor whitch tells the car that it is cold so it keeps the choke on.

can someone please confirm if this is the problem, if so where is it?

also he said there is a code number on it so if anyone should so happen know the code even better.

any suggestions would be helpful,

cheers,

steve

na no water loss, i have a funny feeling that the fans not kicking in but i have checked the fuses and connections and every thing seems good. I suppose an option is putting an independent fan switch in but i have done this to an old renault 5 turbo and its not good if you forget to turn it off!
