Hi

I have a 4agze mr2 and am having a problem with overboosting, it has a pulley kit. it had a blown sc inlet gasket last week so i replaced it which sorted the rough running caused by air escaping in before the afm.

now it doesnt have the power it did and after a very short run the i/c and pipes get very hot and the hose blows off causing the engine to cut out.

it seems like theres a blockage in the intake manifold causing a build up of pressure but i cannot find any evidence of this.

The timing seems to be right.

any ideas!!!

Do you have a boost gauge fitted, so you know what boost you are seeing. With a pulley kit you should be seeing approx 12.5psi
