they have a squeal clip which when they are low they will touch the disc causing a squeal but you probably better get the wheel off and check them

You could do it yourself for about £20.

It's reasonbly easy, and I'm sure on here somewhere there's a guide to help you change them.

If you buy the pads yourself and take it to a garage they shouldn't chagre anywhere near Toyotas prices.

Lol, Cheers

I myself use EBC Redstuff Pads all around which are about £35-£45 for the front. Although a lot of people dislike them I find them to do a great job. ( Many others use Mintex pads, which I believe are also very good. Can't give you a price on those though. EBCBrakesDirect

Not sure if those are the right pads, As that's the only Diesel I could find going from 2002 up! You'd have to check on those.

I find the best way to see if you like something, is to obviously try 'em!

As -T-Sport mentioned you can get EBC Red Stuff, EBC Green Stuff (what I have and find perfectly up to the job and massively better than the OE ones), Mintex, Black Diamond or Endless are also ones that are available. I think the Endless pads are only really an option if you have a few hundred quid you don't like the look of and want rid of fairly sharpish. Mixed reviews on all of them I believe some love them and others hate them. Not really heard of any compelling arguments for or against any of them though. To each their own and 1 thing is for sure they will all be far better than the OE pads you currently have.

Can't go wrong with EBC Red Stuff Ceramic pads if you are looking for a reasonably upgrade, other go for Brembo/endless pads.

ae102, hope you don't get drilled and grooved Black Diamond discs to go with your BD pads
