Are These Headlights Legal ?

I just got some Euro Dezigns 6000K HID H4 xenon Krypton bulbs through the door.

They are bluey coloured and was curious if they are legal ? I've not fitted them to the car yet. They say they are DOT approved... but that still doesn't mean they are legal.

any ideas ?

I read that DOT meant that they would be safe in your car with the wiring etc, etc... but doesn't necessary mean that they are road legal.

A blue tint is acceptable as long as the reflected light is predominantly white.

The 'e' refers to the beam pattern which should be on most most UK headlight glass which mean that that they comform to european standards. The UK beam pattern when measured should kick up to the left.

To ease confusion take your car with the new bulbs in it to an MOT station and ask the tester nicely to check your h/lights for the degree of blueness on his beam pattern machine. It will be his professional discresion to how legal they are.

That's correct.

Look at my xenon bulbs.

You can see the Blue color, but the light is White.

And they are approved

my lights were actually from Canada.

Well I put them in now. Alot brighter than the 20% brighter than stock ones that I got from Halfords, and they have a blue look to them like Jerry's.... they look nice.

Prob not road legal... but hey... who cares... :)
