Outside Temp

Hi There can anyone help please. I've just purchased a Yaris GLS 1ltr reg 2000 and i was wondering if that model had a outside temp gauge because in the manual it shows one on the display, But looking on my display it's blank were it should show. Do you have to turn the display on or should it show automatically.

i had a 2002 GLS and if i remember right (not to sure) the temp was shown where the radio station digits where.think u had to have the display on.. just trying to remember what it looked like

i have a 1999 gls so i would assume that they are the same. anyway it does have the outside temp gauge.

now i think certain buttons are pressed to change what is displayed, so just have a play about. it'll be there some where.

I've messed about with all the buttons with no joy i can see where it shoud show on the display could i have a faulty senser if so where abouts is the sensor located?

Thibk it is behind the front bumper, somewhere. Will look in Haynes manual later if no-one else posts it first! The display should come up when you have the stereo/cd display up, in the little display that has the time, etc.

The temp is displayed in the top right hand of the display when in radio mode. The sensor is behind the front bumper

The image above is of an Avensis but the Yaris sensor sits in the same place
