got caught speeding last friday by a laser gun. the LIFT is proving to b expensive in these cts's.nybody else been caught.just wondering.been driving 10 years. 1st speeding ticket.still miffed off though. gonna cruise from now on. just no getting away these days.be careful ladies and gentlemen.take ur foot of the gas

Worst time being a few weeks back, Ht near 70 in a 30 over-taking some knob who cut me up, Looked in my Mirror and there was a Police Astra up my *****. Pulled over, got out the car..... All he said was "I appreciate it's a pocket rocket and I did see him cut you up, just take it easy" and off he went.

had many £30 fines in my 206 though for silly reasons

It'll happen to us all one day, like you say mate, just they're everywhere!! Those guns are nothing but a money making scam :censor: I saw a plod on a motorway bridge with one a year or so back, no doubt looking for criminals - and it was blowing a gale. There's absolutely no chance that it could have been accurate, so someone probably got a far worse rogering than they deserved!

30 in a 70! thats big and clever of. you want shooting - instant court appearance if you more than 30 over the limit. Carry on Walton's not to bad a place to stay - apart from the scousers!

you need to grow up a but i think - you hit someone at 70 and they are mince. nowt wrong with speeding but not in restricted areas. how would you feel killing someone? if someone makes you that angry take it out on them not the poor person you mow down.

70 in a 30 - thats big and clever. imagine you hit someone at that speed - mince! if someone wound you up that much why didnt you take it out on them and not the innocent person you could have hit.? sounds like you need to grow up - i hope you get caught next time and put infront of a magistrate - see how big you are doing 3 months in Walton - not a place for office boys.

depends wher it is when he went 70 to be honest, could have been industrial estate etc where its very unlikely no1 will be around or maybe he had a very open view and had known 100% that no1 could walk into road. im not saying hes right for doing it but im sure everyone on here has drove faster than the limits, if not then why get the car that is the CTS, go for a T3 etc.

70 in a 30, if that had been a Traffic Copper who had seen it then they would have thrown the book. As hard as it is being the big man by not reacting just let it go, some people are clowns, don't decend to their level by joining them with equally bad driving.

so you aint gonna run some poor bugger running home after night shift if it was an ind est - doubt it tho. if you bought a cts you cant use the performance in restricted ares - why would you want to? everyone speeds but 70 in a 30 - come on. i often do 130+ but no chance of hitting pedestrians.

Totally agree - 70 in a 30 area & overtaking - not clever at all. T- Sport - that could be your wife / child /relation crossing the road in front of you!

he didnt say they was anyone crosing the road :S, if people were around i.e on the sides of roads im sure he would think not to hit 70 in a 30 he aint thick.

This was a dual carrage way, I didn't cross over to the wrong side of the road, and thinking about it - being a dual carrage way it was a 40, not 30. (I know it still doesn't justify it)

Indeed if it had been a T5 I'd have been facing 3 points minimum and a nice hefty fine. Just the chances you take. and what's more big and clever? Over taking someone and that being the end of it, or it spiraling in to road rage by comfronting them? I'd go for overtaking anyday.

As for going over 130, I'd consider that far more idiotic than hitting near 70. Not only could you instantly lose your license if caught, you'd kill far more than one person if you were to lose your car anywhere along the line. Don't give me any of the "there's no cars on the road where I am / at that time of night" B/S either. If you lose it, end up on your roof or something similar, How many cars are gonna see yours when doing 70+Mph and evade it in time? As 'akatheking' said, Swings and roundabouts...

Tell ya, only way to drive around london is on a foreign plate( Irish in this instance), speed cameras everywhere. I dont have to give two sh*ts about them thou or points cause they cant endorse a foreign document.

And when i go back to Ireland ill swap it for an English licence before i go so the Irish cops wont be able to put points on that either, again because they have no legal power over a foreign document , only fine me. Lets just hope the EU keep there noses out.

Everyone speeds fine 70 in a 30 area....but we all speed iv done it youv done it everyone does it!!!!!!!

what about on dual carriage ways which are 40....people throw the car to 70 on there

you can get 30 areas which you can go faster in! you get 30 speed limits where the road is so tight that the speed limit should be damn 20!!!!!

no point pointing fingers at someone for it but yea police are everywhere its really frustrating because alll that time using those cameras you could be arresting a criminal etc. And it is so hard to stay driving on 40 and if you go even few miles over 2-3 even! if they dotn like your u_ly face!

Its not right speed cameras are stupid anyway if you are going to put up cameras great make theem obvious! you have them yellow f_kin illuminous! for all to see and slow down then you have a stupid cop car lasering your speed from another mile away! wicked thats just annoying.

I dont liike it and i repent against it i got points on my birthday for a tyre tread! on a brand new car! which came bak from insurance repair fair enough copper could have let me go i genuinely didnt know only one tyre was maybe illegal but it looked like it wasnt tottaly bold he was taking no excuses i pleaded ! c ome on im 17 at the time just passed have some sympathy i cant afford it now you want to rip me of my licence and pull me down to one lifeline!!!

I don't think posting that you have broken the speed limit is a wise thing to do. You are testomonial to yourself breaking the law, people have been caught out this way so I advise some thread deletion or editing.

Yeah, wasn't some biker prosecuted from a youtube video? I know it's not the same as saying it though as there's no proof, but still worth bearing in mind. I personally never go into three figures, it's just not worth the risk

yeah sorry mate. i typed it up in a hurry. i work nights you see. always rushing. anyway i wont be speeding again for a long time to come. missus is giving me stick now because shes always telling me to drive to the limit. which i will be doing from now on. just aint worth it people.
