Corossion which may be causing your flaking is quite common with all Toyota/Lexus alloys, there are not many that don't, older ones tend to be re-finished. It's something to do with because they tend to polish them rather than laquer them - either that or because they tend to be made in Italy.

I know of people with saxo's and clio's that have had this problem aswell, and they got changed under warraty. Unless they've been kerbed?

They will be covered on Warranty....I'm on my third set!

First set pitted badly on all four corners...second set the

front two started pitting...but I insisted they change all four

which they did....then I asked em to change the front one again,

as it was damaged on the rim when they put it on!

Yeh, I need to visit a dealer soon as mine has just reached the 2.5 years mark and I need to get all my odd & ends sorted before the warrenty runs out.

My wheels are a bit ropey and show flaking and corrosion - I've only kerbed the rim of one of the alloys and the corrosion is near the hub on that wheel.
