Fun With Headlight Repair

Standard (phase 1) headlight. Failed MOT as the beam was too high and the adjuster didn't work, guy offered to price a new headlight unit, declined as I decided to have a go myself and change from scrappy if necessary.

Long story short

2 hours to remove headlight

5 minutes to un-seize (made up word) the adjuster

2 hours to replace headlight, bumper, under tray, wheel arch liner, wheel, plastic bit inside bonnet.

Remaining in hand - 1 x 10mm metal bolt/screw, 1 x black plastic stud thing, 1 x white plastic stud thing, 2 x broken plastic stud things, 1 x MOT pass.

That's got that off my chest. :hammer:

I had a headlight removal sequence in an earlier post. May have saved a few knuckles! Not sure if you could have removed the adjusters, without the extra work of removing headlight! I take it you cant remove the light though, wothout the bumper? In the Haynes book, it says remove but then, they would! :P
