Dizzy Cap - Prices?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, been down to Mr T in Bath today for a new Dizzy cap. Chap there's saying 46 squid for the cap and 8 squid for the rotor arm. Sounds expensive for a glorified piece of plastic. Any alternatives? I suspect the Toyota ones are best, but they're so damn expensive....?

You could get the equivilent part from 'Blueprint' for 30 quid. The rotor arm is 5 quid from them too. Most import specialist will have the ability to get Blueprint parts for you. Just look in yer yellow pages an find one and ring to check.

The parts are IDENTICAL in quality and fit etc. Just one has Toyota printed on.

btw my MrT quoted me £37 inc VAT for my dizzy but the rotor arm was the same price. I got a Blueprint fuel filter which was £30 (£37 from MrT) from my local Jap parts specialist.

I will be orderin parts from there from now on for my mr2 tubby(just found out about this place today from my pops doh).

Ah cool - that sounds a lot better - TBH I'm used to buying these sorts of parts for our old Land Rovers - they only cost a couple of quid - so you can imagine my horror when I was told about the £46.00. Bath prices eh?
