I'm running on Eibach (Same as TTE) Springs with 18" Rims. and I obviously feel the bumps but it's nowhere near as bad as other cars I've been in.

If anything when I changed to Eibach from stock I thought the ride quality improved! and with the stock 16's you shouldn't feel the bumps much more than you can already.

In my opinion they're well worth the money and time! Car feels so much better on them.

Are you Pre Face-lift or Face-lift?

Assuming Pre -

The ride is no different really, the biggest difference is in the reduction in body roll and the increased planted feeling you get. The standard cars look they're ready to go off roading to me

A 30MM drop wont affect much as the car is quite high up. it will give better road grip but not major changes really. As said above i would say the same. A friend of mine has a earlier SI model corolla and it is slammed to the floor but you feel bumps the whole way. The road grip is on another level however. You need a more serious drop than 30mm to really feel a big difference.

I would say do it and clear the big gap and as they are tte springs they were made to match you'r car so you wont have to much trouble with ride firmness.

30mm is enough IMO, my car sits really well.

Seriously mate just do it, i have only just had mine back 2 days since i had my springs fitted and the difference is amazing, yes the car sits so much better but the handling is so much better also, the ride comfort is barely any different (mines a pre facelift on standard 16's) its stiffer but still fine for everyday use. good luck getting them from Toyota but it is worth the million phone calls you will have to make :)

Get it done end of......

get the eibachs - better garuntee on the same product.

changing the tyres for something decent took more comfort away than fitting the springs. you will feel bigger bumps more as you have less travel but they get rid of the choppiness at the rear. search the forum, most of us have posted about them after we fitted them. you could be a bit different and get Tein or TRD springs? i'm probably gonna change my set-up before the end of the year, springs are just a quick fix which only slightly improve the handling but certainly makes the car look better and gives more confidence.
