Not me. I thought the dieselly engine was left running all the time to avoid starter problems - all the diesellys up here seem to be left running- I do that with the landrover as it saves the wiring from smoking anytime I try starting it!

Hi Lomaximus...Reply might be a bit late but the starter motor access is relatively easy once you've removed the intercooler hose the airfilter and the airfilter housing. The starter is held by 2 bolts, the forward one (nearest you) is easy enough but the rear one needs a universal joint behind the socket and is not so easy to locate...the electrical connections are on the bottom of the starter but can be disconnected from above by 'feel' if your arms are long enough!!

Michael,

Are both mounting bolts for the starter on the same side or is the top one threaded and goes through the bell housing from the opposite side. I am currently trying to figure this out.
