Hilux Surf Ssr Ltd Td 2.0l Import

i have just recently bought a 1990 surf import 2.0l td. once i hit 61mph i get a funny ting ching sound repeating until i go below 61mph again..really annoying. anyone know why? also the hand brake light does not go out went it is fully released, it just dims a bit, but it feels like its fully off?

much appreciated if anyone has an answer to either of these questions. thanks.

On the back of the gauges is a small box, snip the yellow wire that goes to it and the speed bell will stop.

The light could be dirt in the handbrake light switch or low fluid.
