Your best bet is to consult the handbook as that will tell you what items need to be checked/replaced at each service interval and you can build a shopping list based on that.

Pollen and air filters spring to mind as commonly replaced service items.

hi stephen, the guy recommended ngk plug with a heat range of 6. the oil filter i think is a patterson as they had no trd or blitz ones in stock, i may buy one tho when they r back. putting 5-30w magnatec oil and i cant remember the gear oil off hand i would assume millers as its wot they seem to supply. also forgot to mention theres no need for an air filter and the pollen filter will b changed for me. there was new brake pads added when i bought the car in jan.

everything will be fitted on monday so hoping i will c a change in it. MOT next thursday!

how do ye find fensport for answering emails. i have contacted them a couple of times now and no reply. all i asked wa do they do any exhausts for the cts. a simple yes or no would have been nice.

is there anywhere reputable in NI to make one up? im fed up looking for a direct fit although blitz and c-one do one for the jdm cts but i dont know if it fits our cts

i would try east coast customs, they made a custom hks full system for my friend's yaris t sport, very good welding and sounded really gd. other than that try remus.

The Remus exhaust that fits the CTS is identical to the TTE one. Similarly like TTE springs which are actually Eibachs, the TTE twin exhaust is a rebadged Remus.

I got my CTS serviced about 4k ago and bought spark plugs and oil filter from Hurst Toyota (about £50 all in) and 10w40 Millers XSS from Comber Autospares £20 for 5 litres....oh and new k&n panel filter

I would give the Millers Semi Synthetic a go over the magnetec, its top notch stuff....German Swedish and French on the Boucher Road are doing 5 litres of Fuchs 5w40 Titan Fully Synthetic around the £23+vat mark which would be even better....

Fuchs Semi Synthetic is Toyota factory fill, the Fully Synth stuff would be the daddy.....Guy from Opie Oils recommends it no end...

Must see about changing the gearbox oil in mine...

one thing regarding the TRD etc high flow oil filters... don't bother, unless you've fitted a high pressure oil pump there is no need for them at all

Hey mate,

Same here, ive spoken to them on the phone a few times and they couldnt be more helpful  , but your wasting your time e-mailing them i think. Ive never had a reply from them any time ive ever mailed them. :(

Nothing absolutely set in stone as yet, but seems to be more peeps here from NI than ROI so its going to be Lisburn or thereabouts, seems to be a few interested now. After about 6 weeks of everyone humming and haa-ing. Few folk from down south coming up too.

Its on the "Irish Meets" thread on main menu. just trying to spread the word so something actually happens. Would be a bit of crack i suppose, will definately be going.

Should be good, just not enough people know about it yet!

Vectra ehh....

well i suppose it could have been a lot worse! I drove one of those when i used to work at a car auction when i was 18, they arent bad, just too damn heavy.

Gosford forest park is right smack bang between Tandragee, Armagh and Newry. Probably 45 mins drive from Belfast give or take.

Never been, so ill be pinching me dads sat nav that day!

lol, it was my dream car when i was in school beleive it or not, tuned by courtney sport, very smooth power house! i should be there if im not at a trackday, bin down that way few times so should b ok to find it.

to stoney - car is serviced and passed the mot with no problem, had 3 of the mot guys over looking at the engine and i herd vvtli and beast in the same sentence lol. the service went well and the car is running smooth, the gear oil being changed made the shifting bit more effortless and smooth!
