One For Mk 3 Pickup "anoracks"

Do you remember the good old tube rear bumper offered as an accessory from the late eighties to mid nineties? Do you know if they were manufactured here in the UK and if so who made them? (the plastic end caps were but it doesn't necessarily follow that the steelwork was done here). I'm attempting to repair the top tubes on my bumper but cannot find anyone who can bend 3inch 10 guage tubing as per the original pattern, or do you know someone who can? If all else fails I will just cut out the rusty sections and weld in new ones (I know you can buy other tubular bumpers but yes, I'm an "originality anorak") Cheers Paul

Thanks for that but I've just discovered that they were made in Japan/ far east. So i don't think I can justify a trip out there for bumper parts! Cheers
