Newbie With An Mr2 Roadster Question...

Hi Guys,

I'm new so please be nice (!) I have just posted in the newbie section...

Anyhoo, I was wondering if you'd be so kind as to share some of your expert knowledge with me?...

I'm VERY interested in purchasing an '03/'04 plate MR2 Roadster and want to know if there is anything in particular I should be looking out for? (Known defects/problems etc etc.) Are leaky roofs a problem??

I'm sorry to sound pretty vacant and realise it's quite a general/non specific question but any help/pointers would be much appreciated.

P.S. I used to own a yellow MR2 (old skool G 'reg) a few years back... although how that piece of information is relevant I don't know...! It's late, I'm jet-lagged... I'm goin now!

Welcome to the club and congratulations on the new purchase.

I have moved your topic to this section (roadster) If you look

here and here you will find what you need to know.. pay special attention to the Pre-cat thread.. although this is more common on pre 03 cars.

As for leaky roofs... never had a problem with mine.

Hi and welcome to the club

As Davy said, check out the links for some useful information and don't let the pre-cat thread worry you, my car is an "02" model with 65000 miles on the clock and my pre-cats are in perfect condition, regular servicing and regular level checks throughout the cars life are the MOST important feature when considering any purchase.
