Optima Battery

I think my Battery might need replacing

It's not too bad, i don't think, starts the car, keep me going with music and stuff, but recently i nearly flatten the Battery playing with my music too long in my car, without having the car running.

It's not something i normally do, esp how power happy my amp is  but even so, less than an hour, i could hardly start the car after that. Lucky for me, my car was pointing down a slope, and managed to bump start it :D

Changing it with a normal Battery is going to cost anything from £40~£85 but if i change it to an Optima battery (yellow one), it going to be about £140

Now, i know most will think thats mad for a battery, but some do know, they are the best in batteries.

I'm just trying to find out, if anyone has one installed in there car, and most of all, is it worth it.

I had to consider that with my Battery as my sounds need them! i need more voltage going to my amp and sub as im running alot of power on the standard toyota Battery.

First of all you need to find the Battery which will fit in the corolla tray which is a struggle due to it being so small so maybe some modifications will have to be made.

Also have to make sure the alternator is up to the task. Finally i would say yes get one! your sounds will sound better your bassline will get the optimum voltage it needs to run on.

I have not installed one in my car i went with another toyota battery as my previous battery was faulty but i would say put that extra bit in for long term and purchase one.

For your sounds id say yea!

If you wanna save money then have a look at stinger batteries aswell they are not bad for car audio and cars either.

I have about 5 optima batteries in my car 1 red top to start the engine and 4 yellow tops for my MOSTER 18" kicker solo x and there been great i have my music playing without the engine on for a long time and never run out of juice would recommend them to anyone but they are pricey these days (due to the high lead prices)

+ you should also think about spilt charging your system (have a normal Battery at the front and have a yellow top at the rear)

WOW AE_92

The dark horse of installs, what have you got tucked away in the back of your car then ;)

Would of like to split charge and have a second Battery, but personally not that fussed.

Will have to find a cheap-ish yellow top Battery then
