For some reason I was expecting MK1 MR2's to go way up higher than that! That's a good surprise :)

Pleased that the Yaris isn't gonna increase much either:

The price of "Motor Tax" in Ireland is also rocketing, thanks to the Greens

Cars Registered before 1/7/08

Cars Registered after 1/7/08

My Rav 4.3, registered in Feb, costs €590 a year (around £455) for Motor Tax, plus my better half's Rav4.2 @ €530 a year (£410)

If I bought mine now, it would cost €1000 (£770) a year to put on the road :eek: . That's why it's called rip off Ireland, and that's why thousands of big CO2 emitting cars have been imported from the UK in the last six months, since these changes were announced, to beat the deadline of 1 July.

These excessive charges buy us roads like this - you can catch trout in some of the puddles.....

I don’t mind too much paying road tax, what I do mind is paying for the privilege of driving into pot holes and rough roads that could damage my car :ffs:

Mine has gone up by Euro110 for the year. I suppose if you look @ it ,it is Euro 2 per week :ffs: which is something you would throw to a good Busker, but....... added to rise in fuel price etc, not a happy Camper :ban:

Just checked my renewal notice :( It has gone up by Euro 120 approx per annum. Only Euro2 per week if you look at it that way = what you might throw to a half decent busker :D , but when you add in the crazy price of fuel etc :ffs: I agree totally about the roads. Don't get me started

I know I posted this up but you don't think for one minute this government (if it remains in power) will stick to the prices quoted today for the next two years

We all know how circumstances change and that the wonderful Loser Labour party have one consistent track record......They move goal posts, and if you don't believe me I'm willing to place a long term bet that any of this crip crop crep excreta regarding future tax charges will change (not for the better) by the time it is due ;)
