What Sensor Does My Engine Have?

I have found that I have a problem with the Lambda sensor on my 1997 corolla with a 4A-FE 1.6 engine. My question is do I have a Lambda sensor or an oxygen sensor. The reason I ask is opinion seems devided and one is about £100 and the other about £300!

It would be easier if I knew what they looked like. Has anybody got photographs of both so that I can compare it with what I have on my car?

The Oxygen Sensor (also known as Lambda Sensor) is located in the exhaust manifold and measures the amount of unburned oxygen in your engine's exhaust. Based on the amount of oxygen, it sends a signal to your engine computer which then adjusts the air/fuel mixture for optimum engine performance and emission control. Lambda and oxygen sensors are one and the same thing, although there may be a few types for your car. PM the chassis number to me and I will price one
