Timing Chain Noise

hi.

when the yaris has sat over night the chain is a wee bit noisy for about a couple of seconds when started.

once the oil is up about it, its not noisy at all.

is this ok? i'm considering getting a new tensioner but don't know if its a waste of time.

Used to get this from a Merceded 190e. Nothing too worrying, as long as it does go after a few seconds. I assume the car has done a few miles? If you have any real doubts, mention it next service.

had the car about a month or so now, been neglected by previous owners.

car has done 73,000 miles, last service about 2 years ago!!!

but just been treated to the works, brakes, engine flush, synthetic oil, pollen, oil, air, fuel filters, spark plugs etc.

don't think it had been washed in years, so i've introduced it to polish!!

but the rattle is only for a second or so, drives great when up and running.
