Reduce weight.

Lose the spare, back seats, whatever you don't need.

It's very cheap - i.e. free!!

but why does he want to increase his 0-60 anyway? just get a fat bird in the passenger seat maybe that would help;)

i want to make the car faster, i.e so the 0-60 is less than 8.0 seconds. and a good wayto increase performance and BHP

0-60 is easily less than 8 seconds anyway. :)

how many seconds would you say it does it in?

Probably 7-7.5.

I have a review where the time is 7.3s, and that's in the wet.

cnnn, parkers mention it does it in 8.1 so i wasnt too sure, thanks anyway. wat about increasing the hp wats are the best methods for that?

What about a lightweight flywheel because although it doesn't affect the base BHP it should allow more power through to the wheels.

Do a full exhaust system youll have better air flow, Induction kit for better air engine will breath better making a slight difference in your 0-60,

reduce weight as mentioned above.

practice your shifting is another, a short shifter kit is another good modification as you reduce the length of your shift thus allowing you to shift quicker from 1st to second saving you maybe a second!

In the dry always turn off traction control for a quick 0-60.

P.S Dont turn it off in the wet though.

im sure ppl have been timed at low 7's for 0-60. as above really , induction kit and short shift comes to roughly 300 to 400 quid, then it starts getting more expensive. short shift is next on my long and never ending list of things i need to buy that never gets any shorter. think i need a pay rise lol

I need a new job! Im tight on budget aswell otherwise i would have traded in my corolla and purchased a t sport by now. Found a nice facelift model in grey for 6499 with listers toyota!

If things work out in some time then it may be on its way but at the moment its a long anticipated wait!

Back to topic! short shift kit and an induction kit is the best way for the least ammount of money i reckon.

Well i suppose you can stop looking at parkers and any other reviews because no matter how many races i have on my private track with my mate in his civic type R its always either neck and neck or i beat him off the line to about 65 then he starts to leave me and there like what 6.4 to 60 so either there slow or the corolla is obviously not 8.1 (sorry to bring up the CTR's again on this forum!)

P.S His type R has an induction kit and all iv done to mine is changed the lights other than that mine is untouched.

smaller lightweight wheels or lower profile tyres would make a differance B)

depends how extreme you want to go,

Reduce the weight as much as you can.

Take the seats out - the ones you don't need.

Remove the sound proofing.

Run the car on virtually empty. Full tank weighs about 50kg, thats almost 5% of the weight of the car.

Ive had mine timed at exactly 7 sec 0-62 on a nice cool dry day Nothing except the Blitz Sonic and some Toyo tyres, stock other than that.

I cant wait to see what the new Fidanza flywheel will do once the warranty is up and i can get it and the TRDshifter installed

I agree with Omasis too, ive had a few encounters with "those other cars" where its been pretty much even.
