Just make sure theres no tension on the sensor cables when you plug it back in, there's a few clips to hold the cabling even if you have to unclip one make sure there's some play there. Otherwise it might keep pulling out and going into limp mode. You may have to solder an extension onto the sensor cable and heatshrink it to solve the problem, friend had to do this to his compressor.

As above, I've had the same problem and had to get it fixed.

Also - I'd suggest not using the bracket to hold it in place! It'll end up snapping and leaving a gaping hole in your intake pipe. It's pretty stable without the bracket. i know a few people whodont use it. Including me now :P

Never had any probs with the bracket myself, there must be some tension on yours to do that

Yeh I was thinking exactly the same- I haven't had any problems with my bracket (touch wood!) Oh and by the way make sure you disconnect the negative Battery terminal otherwise you will have all the warning lights on the dash when you start up. Had this problem with my brother's....

I know plenty of people who have snapped their brackets. Mine was fine for a good 7 months.

Also - I didn't disconnect the negative Battery once, and had no warning lights on. Even if you do get the lights on, simply take out the 2 15amp fuses in your fuse box for 10 seconds and bingo, ECU reset and lights off :)

You'll also have to make sure it comes with the right instructions! The Pre-facelife & facelift / compressor are different for installation. If you dont get the one telling you how to do 2004+, give me a PM I have a PDF of the updated instrctions.

ok got it fitted and it sounds sweet as f**k when the compressor comes on song :D , managed to get some extension on the AFM wires so these should be ok.

when i took the airbox out the only thing that I noticed was that the the little air flap was open and was not connectedto the vacuum system. toyota do this for a reason????

It was all connected up on mine when I took the air box out. Maybe the prvious owner forgot to put it back on? and if it wasn't previously owned... I dunno! :P

Ask ToweyLowey, He has a Compressor with a K&N fitted, maybe he'd have noticed.
