4afe Exhaust Manifold On 4age Head

Hey! I'm always interested in making cheeky upgrades for my 89' Gti-16... :P

I was up the scrapyard looking in the engine bay of a 'rolla executive 'cos i like the engine mounts! Then i saw that the FE has a trick looking manifold as standard. Its a 4 into 1. I want to swap!!

The stock Gti manifold is cast pig-iron 4 into 2. I was looking at APEXI 4 into 1. APEXI are mega bucks, so i can get a 4 into 1 manifold off the 4AFE cant i?

Can i do it?

no i'm afraid not, the manifold are different, i once tride to use a 4A-GE T25 exhaust manifold on my 4A-FE head and they don't match up. the exhaust ports on the GE are further apart then those on the FE.

I have no idea what youre talking about :D Do you mean inner wings? Not the sort Red-Bull might give you..

There was an Apexi manifold on flea bay.. They'd spiraly spliced the header pipes; all equal lengths. Perfectly, into 1 big down pipe!

erm, i've actually still got my 4age t25 turbo manifold, you could use that as a 4-1 if you like? i have no intention of using it. ;)
