Hey was driving home yesterday and was greeted with a harsh sound coming from the bottom of my car it sounded like metal scraping and seemed more prominent when i turned the wheel left. It comes and goes now,I was wondering it might be break pads but she was recently serviced. any thoughts??

Cheers

I had the same buddy

i was the brakes, as its only certain parts they check on a services and as brakes pads are "consumables" then you have to have them done separately.

Although mine was to the extent that there was nothing left on the pad and the discs were very badly scored, and that was a week after having it

And did you notice kind of a whistleing noise prior to the metal grinding noise? did you need to replace all four breaks? Hope the disks don't need replacing very broke at the minute. Did they just put toyota pads on yours?

cheers mate

i cant say that i did, but if the pads are down to the wear indicators, these sometimes whistle

but i probably couldnt hear the whistling as the pads were pretty much non existant

Yeh, i took it back to Mr T and had them replace everything, as id only just bought it, so they had to do it for free.

It'll most likely be the pads that need replacing, i think they were something daft like £40-50 as set, but cant really remember
