Connecting Ipod Through Stereo

Hi all, I have just purchased a 2006 T3-X Avensis and hope to be able to run my iPod through the stereo.

I am currently using an fm transmitter but frankly - it is useless lol, I have spotted a lead that connects the iPod to an auxillary point in the car - if there is one so that is my question, do you know of an auxillary point in the car? And if so where is it?

If no auxillary then do you have any other ideas on how to run the ipod directly to the stereo? (The stereo is not bluetooth enabled so cannot use a bluetooth adapter)

Many thanks for your help

You can buy an adaptor that goes into the cd changer port on the back of your stereo. The one I have is called a 'Connects2' adaptor (Google it), cost about £35. I also have the Harman Kardon Drive and Play kit in my Avensis as well so I can control the iPod with a jog wheel and screen.
