Multimode or MMT is a somewhat contentious issue on the forum it seems to me. You'll find a number of lengthy threads about it in various places e.g. the Auris and Corolla Verso sub forums. People seem to either love it or loathe it.

But what is important I think is that you try it for a reasonable period before you decide either way.

Recently bought the Verso in SR spec D4D but a manual. Have to say it is doing a great job so far, just pushing 2,500 miles on the clock and achieving high 40's low 50's MPG.

Just remember MMT is a manual gear box with an automated clutch and does not behave like a standard auto gearbox. Test driving is the best way and if possible try more than one car as each MMT can be different as things are determined by computers and sensors.
