Didn't want to hijack the ealier ins post so__ I'm nearly 50 as is my missus she has 3 points

and as I say where we live is fairly quiet but we pay over £500 for ins on our T.S. :(

It's as it left the factory apart from 205 tyres and blueish headlamp bulbs none of which is of any concern to insurance companies,

HOW then can some of you get ins so cheaply or is it that I'm on the wrong search company???

Who do you use? :(

I'm guessing it's where you live. Lancashire/Yorkshire are awful for insurance. Mine was exactly £500 this year, aged 22 with 2 years NCB. It's all down to postcodes!!

Yorkshire are awful for insurance.

You'd think so but i only pay £370 through esure!

25 with 7 years NCB

P.S. Having my mum on the policy makes it cheaper, not that she's allowed to drive it tho!

Mum isn't the policy holder by any chance?

Nope, just a named driver!

Definitely all down postcodes! My mam and dad live not quite 3 miles apart and the difference from one to the other (Sunderland SR3 to Durham DH5) is £400!!!!! And I'm 27 with 6 years no claims too! Thats not a rip-off, thats rape.....

Back to the original question, and without being rude, thats a big premium for you're age. I always bang on about them, but try Greenlight, they were always good with me!

Have you mentioned to the insurance company that you have 205 tyres, as to a lot this is of concern as they class it as a mod, i.e. non standard from the original spec.

I'm with adrian flux and just renewed for £310, 28 with 8 NCD, but I've also got good quotes from more than believe it or not, so worth a try.

Good luck

Try this site. I know somebody who nearly HALVED their insurance on here, got to be worth a few moments of your time filling in a form. I was in feature in the Daily Mirror a few days ago. Mrs Kingo got a good deal on her Yaris from More Than this time around, not a T Sport I know...

Have you tried Toyota's own insurance? being nearly 50 you have ticked the first box already! They do excellent cover, not the cheapest but you might be suprised

Kingo

Thanks for the input Guys

Yes we were with Toyota for 4yrs prior to the TS but then they wanted silly money

I agree with the post code thing, a pal in Lincolnshire who has a Porche Boxter and only pays £700 when he lived

in Manchester with the same car it was £1267 !!!

The ins I'm with now isn't bothered about 205's (on standard rims) maybe some are though?

The business cover adds more than I expected (missus goes School to School in her job) with out it we save

£120 business milage is only 1000 mls year

I will try Green light, hell I'll try anybody to save some money (then spend it on the car)

:D

Try the Post Office. £295 and should get £50 cash back after 60 days. 9000 mile limit & no commuting on that though.

When I tried Toyota for insurance they didn't have my car listed, Verso SR. Kind of puts you off when they don't even know what cars they make.
