Electrics (4 Way Hazard Lights)

Ok,

Went and did something a little silly.

Bought some chrome light bulbs for my clear front inticators. Was in the process of fitting them and noticed the driver side bulb wasn't working. Turns out it wasn't fully touching the connections within the bulb socket.

I poked around in the socket in an attempt to move the contact into a more appropriate position. When i refitted the bulb and turned on my four ways to check if it had worked the following happened:

4 ways flashed once then stopped...!

I noticed the following as a result:

The hazzard button now does nothing, however the indicator stalk will still activate the indicators indipendantly as normal.

The little light on the speedo consol, that indcates that a door is open, now flashes rapidly when the doors are closed.

I'm not sure my alarm is working properly but will need to check this and get back to you.

Any and all help welcome.
