Hi all - just got around to placing my first post after 7 months of owning a Surf. I have a strange problem. My rad had split on my 3ltr KZN130, i have replaced it some two weeks ago, but all of a sudden i have been getting alot of pale smoke from the exhaust on tickover. If I rev the engine, the smoke stops. Any ideas?

Hi Stewey

I had exactly the same with my 3.0 T/D surf earlier this year, It turned out to be a crack in the head between the pots. Thus causing it to smoke on tick-over- although it wasn't smoke but steam.

I had mine replaced with a new head and all the trimmings by Stevo in manchester. He advertises at the top of the page on www.hiluxsurf.co.uk under the name of...Engine co ltd or his Tel. No. is 0161 4766144

OR

alternatively there is Tony N who is also on the hiluxsurf.co.uk website and is based in Basingstoke (his web ste is 4x4toys.co.uk)

Sorry to be the bearer of sad news

Cheers

Paul
