On the basis that no-one in TOC! (or newcelica.org) has managed to do this, I would say No.

I was wondering the same thing. I've got a 56 plate VVTi with the standard air con and was looking at getting a climate control pannel.

The back of the climate control pannel only has 2 connectors but i'm not sure whether they are the same on the standard air con. And if they are, whether it would work properly.

Climate Control is only useful on a long journey > 30 miles

That is the only time I have found it to be effective - i.e. it kept the cabin temperature at a constant/controlled/comfortable level

It's nice, but not essential
