Gen 6 Fault

My car has developed a fault (1998 Gen6 Celica GT), it starts fine but then when I push the accelerator to pull away the engine appears to bog down stall and the engine management light comes on

Any ideas what it could be would be greatly appreciated as I need to get to a stag do tonight :ffs:

i've had a simliar problem with mine. it kept happening around 3k rpm it turned out to be a throttle sensor.

You may have had it fixed by now but i'd say check your injectors...one may be blocked and need flushing out :D
