Hi all. Just signed up and introduced meself today. Got a 2.0 d4-d, 02 plate.

Just been given a quote from Toyota dealer of 280 bucks for supply and fit of new timing belt?

Would appreciate some comments from guys/gals in the know! ;)

Fairly average I would say; most of the cost would be labour and VAT

I believe a common recommendation when having this job done is to replaced the water pump at the same time as it will be on the way out anyway and save a 2nd stripdown later on.

Managed to get a quote of £180 from a local garage with a good rep, 1 years warranty on the part, so gonna snub Toyota and go with that! :P
