Car Rolling Back

My 2007 Corolla, manual transmission, tends to roll back when parked on a slight incline on my driveway. Instead of just rolling back a few inches immediately after turning off the engine the vehicle rolls back a few more inches every 10-15 seconds. Very annoying. Must use my hand brake, which is always a good idea anyway.

Never had this problem with several other manual transmission vehicles. Is an engine valve staying open?

Anyone have any ideas? Is this a sign of worse things to come?

Well without your handbreak it will roll back, when you put it in gear and park, there is still movement avaliable, as you engine has 'play' where the car will prefer to sit as a locked position.

Just use your handbreak, it's not a hard task

Am I missing something here? Why would you not want to use your handbrake when you park the car
