Need some help understand Celica Turbo AWD

In the process of possibly buying a car to have some fun in (SCCA Performance Rally). And since Toyota and Honda are my top pics...well Toyota wins. I see a lot of Celica GT-4 and All Trac Turbos. What are the differences between the two? What are some things to watch out for (tranny, diff, turbo, etc.)? Any one year better or worse? Help will be appreciated...

the Alltrac is the US name for the GT4. They are essentially the same car, though there are a few differences based on domenstic market laws etc.
