Hi,

I gather the 2.2 diesel has a particulate filter but what about the other diesel engines? Do they have particulate filters also?

Thanks,

T.

I thought all diesels to conform to the current and soon to be implimented emission requirements had to have particulate filters fitted.

The Toyota brochure only lists the 2.2 D4d as having "D-CAT" though!

No, not all and not that many have DPF, I think only the T180 at present on Toyota's. My advice, don't buy Toyota's version, I think it is rubbish, Had a Audi 2.7 with DPF recently and averaged 43mpg, thats better than Audi claim, the Toyota versions are 15% less than claimed!

Specifications can be reached without DPF and it is not compulsory. It is a backward step and I believe in very early crude form.

Not all diesel has DPF and yes the T180/SR180 has it.

I am averaging 43MPG with mine at the moment and enjoying the experience so far after 4 months.
