erm i don't think you can as the T3 (as far as i'm aware) doesn't have a turbo on it.

A dump valve is a wastegate for pressure build up in the turbo, right? (don't quote me on that)

so since the T3 is not turbo-ed you cannot have an actual dump valve.

But, I think you're after the sound, if so you can have an electronic dump valve that works off a siren and switches on the car. They don't sound as good as the real thing, more like darth vader's hissing sound. i had a turbo whistle on my car, but the exhaust pressure blew it out :( lol

  • 5 months later...

what i would suggest is, Getting a turbo conversion done and then adding a dump valve...then that way atleast the car will have power to back up that PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTCH noise.

Certain non-turbo cars can have Dump Valves... But they're worthless.

Yeh you need a Turbo system for the need of a Dump/Blow off valve, and the electonic ones aren't any good either. As another said, buy a Turbocharged car and get a nice, loud Dump Valve for it!

You can also buy a Turbo kit or get one made but its really expensive and they are very unreliable, which is why I daren't fit one to my car. You have to regulate Boost, Oil temperature, Water temperature and the air temperature. Not to mention remapping the ECU for ages until you get the right map for the car and Turbo combination!

Its alot of hard and tedious work to do if its aftermarket so make sure that you have the cash and time to do it, otherwise its a whole world of trouble that you're in, especially if you dont have the right people behind you aswell.

Nick,

They're about £80 to buy in the shops. That's like 3/4 the price of an actual dump valve. Sod that... haha. I'm sure some dweebs will go out and buy 'em though.
