Idle Problems

hi i have a rev 1 mr2 turbo last week i fitted a decat pipe a aftermarket manifolds and a induction kit at the same time as i replaced the clutch now the car will not idle and has intermitant miss fire .i also have a super chipped brain to go in can anyone help me with the stalling regards stu

Firstly, sensors, are they all back in place after the swap.

Have you got the upgraded ecu in? if its second hand it may have been mapped for that other car.

Id check the simple things first, then get it to a mapper for the ecu tweaking an testing!

thanks for your reply

i have checked all sensors all wires and all vacumm pipes .i have tryed both brains got a fault code of 5 1 then i disconected the Battery and now the engine light is flashing all the time ????????????????/

If you swapped ECU's whilst the Battery was connected, I'm surprised only 1 fault code came up.

The engine warn light flashing all the time means no faults detected.

I take it by viewing these codes you have the diagnostic port bridged?

When fitting the induction kit was it fitted pre or post AFM? How many of the sensors were disturbed?

My guess on this is the AFM and/or Oxy Sensor as when these go wrong error codes are seldom displayed. Also check the O2 sensor on the exhaust. May as well check the leads & dizzy too, because these may have been knocked.
