Need to know the age of the car please.

Was chatting to a guy yesterday re a bent front wing on a Y regy VW Golf - the front wing panel new is about £40 and cost of fitting and spraying the wing and blending in paintwork was about £180. To unbend and 'cataloy' his bent wing was £30 cheaper. I've just lent out my manual for the 4.1 series but I don't think it covers wing replacement anyway. Besides, it'll be much the same as for the 4.2 which I think is downloadable.

This diagram shows all the front bumper components;

If you get a new wing and look at the fixing holes you can see how much needs to come off at the front. The proper way is to remove the bumper, headlight and the wheel arch plastic liner but you may be able to manage by leaving some in place. Its one of those jobs that you can tell better by starting.

I don't have any better diagram for the specific removal of the wing but if you have a reasonable selection of tools you should be OK.
