Estima With Turbo Issues And Overheating

Recommended Posts

Hi folks i would like some info on a current issue with an Estima i have just got hold of.

It seems to run ok unntill you try get above 50-60 mph and then it will rapidly overheat .Also the turbo green light comes on but will remain on even after you take your foot off the pedal ,it eventually goes off but it seems like the turbo is always cutting in even at low revs. One more thing is its reluctance to drop another gear as well at 3000 rpm - even took it to 4000rpm but no drop down. Then it overheats.

i think there is alink with all these problems and thought that maybe the actuator is sticking and he head has cracked somwhat allowing the turbo to pressurise the cooling system.

I thought the turbo would cut in as needed and certainly wouldnt light up all the time.

Anyway if anyone has any ideas let me know?

thanks Dave
